MAUREEN E. CLARK was born in Lakewood, Colorado. She moved to Santa Barbara in 1985. She was educated at Santa Barbara City College, and transferred to the University of California at Santa Barbara where she received a B.A. in Linguistics with High Honors in 1991. From 1991-1992, she attended Trinity College Dublin (Ireland), where she earned a Master’s degree in Applied Linguistics. She was invited to attend Southwestern University School of Law, where she received a Paul W. Wildman Scholarship, was a member of the Moot Court Honors Program, and graduated in the top 20% of her class in 1995. She is admitted to the State Bar of California, the United States District Court for the Central and Eastern Districts of California, the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit and the United States Supreme Court. From 1995 to 1996, she was an instructor of several courses at the Southern California Institute of Law. Before joining the firm in June 1998, Ms. Clark was a research attorney for the Los Angeles County Municipal Courts. Planning and Research Unit. AV rated by Martindale Hubbell, she is a member of the State Bar of California, the Santa Barbara County Bar Association, the Association for Southern California Defense Counsel, the Golden Key National Honor Society, Intertel, and the California Medical-Legal Committee.

Ms. Clark’s practice focuses on medical malpractice, elder abuse, employment and professional liability litigation and probate conservatorships. In addition, she handles much of the firm’s appellate and writ work.
