PATRICIA K. RAMSEY was born in Lincoln, Nebraska. She was educated at the University of Nebraska at Lincoln, where she received a B.A. in 1973 and her J.D. in 1979. She was admitted to the State Bar of Nebraska in 1979 and the State Bar of California in 1980. She has also been admitted to the United States District Court in Nebraska and the Central District of California. From 1980 to 1982, she was a claims representative and then an assistant supervisor for the BarCal Unit at Travelers Insurance Company in Los Angeles. In 1982, she joined Bonne, Bridges, Mueller, O’Keefe & Nichols as an associate. In 1987, she moved to Santa Barbara to co-manage the branch office of that firm and became a shareholder in 1990. She joined Bauer, Harris, Clinkenbeard & Ramsey as a partner on January 1, 2000. AV rated by Martindale Hubbell, she is a member of the State Bar of Nebraska, State Bar of California, the Santa Barbara County Bar Association, and is an Associate of the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA).
Ms. Ramsey’s practice focuses on medical malpractice, managed care, and professional liability litigation.
